How do you get to the city center from Madrid's airport?
The city of Madrid is serviced by the Madrid-Barajas International Airport. To get to the center of the city from the airport, it will take you about 30 minutes by car depending on traffic. If you want to take public transportation to the city, you can take the metro/subway. You'll have access to the subway from Terminals 1,2,3 & 4. The metro leaves the airport about every 15 minutes and you'll want to take Line 8 to get to the city center. If you'd prefer the train, it goes from the airport to the city center as well. The train station is also located on Terminal 4. You'll want to take C1 or C10 to get into the city. Other options for travel from the airport to Madrid's city center include taxi and bus. There is an Express Bus that runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It picks you up outside of the airport near Terminals 1, 2, and 4. The Express Bus goes directly to the city center.
